Janus: The Ancient Roman God of Transitions, Beginnings, and Endings.

New Year’s Day.
For some, it’s just another day.
For others, it’s a chance to pause and reflect.
Where we’ve been…
Where we’re going…
To the lessons we’ve learned.
And to the lessons we have yet to learn.
A time of transition. Out with the old, in with the new.
This duality – looking back while moving forward – is the essence of Janus, the ancient roman god of transitions, beginnings, and endings. In fact, the month of January is named after him.
As we embark on another year on this rock we call Earth, we find ourselves caught in this liminal space of what’s passed and what’s yet to come. Like Janus, we look both ways – acknowledging all that we have learned as we boldly walk into the unknown.
Here’s to the journey, the growth, and the depth we find along the way.
Love,
