This pendant is inspired by Medjed, one of the more mysterious figures from Ancient Egyptian mythology. He appears briefly in some copies of the Book of the Dead as a small walking figure with a simple cone-shaped body, two human-like feet and wide eyes.

In an English translation of the Papyrus of Ani, Raymond O. Faulkner renders the portion of the spell referring to Medjed as follows:

"I know the name of that smiter (Medjed) among them who belongs to the House of Osiris, who shoots with his eyes, yet is unseen. The sky is encircled with the fiery blast of his mouth and Hāpi makes report, yet he is unseen."

Medjed has puzzled archaeologists and Ancient Egypt historians for years. Some see him as a minor deity, while others see him as a spirit who sees, moves and acts without humans perceiving him. All in all, we still don't know for sure who or what Medjed was meant to be. That's what makes him so interesting to me.

Ring Size Guide

The most reliable way to find your ring size is to swing by a local jeweler and have them measure your finger properly. But if that’s not an option — no worries. Here’s a simple way to figure it out from home.

Before You Measure

Decide which finger you want to wear your ring on. Remember — your dominant hand usually runs a little larger than your non-dominant one.

Also, make sure your hands are at a comfortable room temperature. Cold makes fingers shrink, while heat makes them swell. We’re looking for that everyday, honest size.

How to Measure

1. Cut a thin strip of paper or grab a piece of string.

2. Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger — tight, but not cutting off circulation.

3. Mark the spot where the ends meet.

4. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters.

5. Use our Ring Size Chart below to match your measurement to a US ring size.

Inside Diameter (mm) Finger Circumference (mm)   Ring Size (US)
15.8 49.3 5
16.5 51.9 6
16.9 53.1 6.5
17.4 54.5 7
17.8 55.7 7.5
18.2 57.1 8
18.5 58.2 8.5
18.9 59.3 9
19.4 61 9.5
19.8 62.3 10
20.2 63.5 10.5
20.7 65 11
21.5 67.5 12
22.3 70.2 13

"About Our .25 Sizes"

You might’ve noticed we don’t list a 10 or 10.5 — but a 10.25 instead. Simple reason: it covers both comfortably. Rings naturally fit a little different depending on the day, the weather, or how you wear them. A 10.25 hits that sweet spot between too tight and too loose. Most people won’t feel the difference between a 10, 10.25, or 10.5...so we went with what works.

If you're in between sizes reach out and I'll help you figure out what works best!
