Plato's Cave Philosophy Pendant Inspiration: Imagine a group of people born inside a cave. They’re imprisoned and chained up in this cave facing a wall. Behind the prisoners is a fire, and in between the fire and the prisoners, people walk by carrying puppets and objects that cast shadows on the wall in front of them.
Certainly, to the prisoners, these shadows on the wall are reality. As a result, they see the shadows and assume they’re the real thing. They don’t know any better — it’s all they’ve ever known.
Meanwhile, one day, one of the prisoners is set free. He steps outside…and naturally, the sunlight blinds him. His eyes need time to adjust. But once they do, he sees the world for the first time. Trees. Sky. Birds. Everyday objects he had only seen as shadows before. Now he knows the truth. What he and the others were seeing before were merely illusions. This is reality.
Happy and excited to share his newfound knowledge, he runs back into the cave… but now his eyes are blinded once again. He’s adjusting to the darkness. He comes across the prisoners — half-blind — and tries to tell them everything they know is a lie. That the shadows on the wall are merely illusions. That the real world sits outside.
But they see him talking nonsense, stumbling, and half-blinded — and they assume him leaving the cave has made him go crazy. They don’t take him seriously. In fact, they laugh at him. They can’t accept the truth.
Moreover, Plato's Allegory of the Cave is one of the most powerful allegories in history. In short, this piece reminds me to always question everything and to keep an open mind: not everything is what it seems.

The most reliable way to find your ring size guide is to swing by a local jeweler and have them measure your finger properly. But if that’s not an option — no worries. Here’s a simple way to figure it out from home.
Before You Measure
Decide which finger you want to wear your ring on. Remember — your dominant hand usually runs a little larger than your non-dominant one.
Also, make sure your hands are at a comfortable room temperature. Cold makes fingers shrink, while heat makes them swell. We’re looking for that everyday, honest size.
How to Measure
1. Cut a thin strip of paper or grab a piece of string.
2. Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger — tight, but not cutting off circulation.
3. Mark the spot where the ends meet.
4. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters.
5. Use our Ring Size Chart below to match your measurement to a US ring size.

You might’ve noticed we don’t list a 10 or 10.5 — but a 10.25 instead. Simple reason: it covers both comfortably. Rings naturally fit a little different depending on the day, the weather, or how you wear them. A 10.25 hits that sweet spot between too tight and too loose. Most people won’t feel the difference between a 10, 10.25, or 10.5...so we went with what works.
